Hertha to open the season at home against Nürnberg

Hertha BSC will start the 2018/19 season against newly promoted 1. FC Nürnberg at the Olympiastadion. The DFL released the full schedule on Friday (28.06.18).

Berlin - The fixture list is here! On Friday, the DFL released its schedule for the 2018/19 Bundesliga season. Hertha will start the new league campaign at home against 1. FC Nürnberg. The exact kick off time for the game against the newly promited side is not yet known. “Nürnberg will not be an easy opponent. Newly promoted sides always play with a lot of excitement and energy, but we will be well prepared,” said head coach Pál Dárdai.

The first away trip of next season will see Dárdai’s men travel to Gelsenkirchen to face FC Schalke 04. That fixture is set to take place at some point between 31st August and 1st September. After the first international break of the season, Hertha then hit the road to face Wolfsburg (14.09.-16.09.18). On matchday 4 it will be Borussia Mönchengladbach that are the guests at the Olympiastadion (21.09.-23.09.18). The season’s first midweek game follows next, when Hertha will travel to Bremen to face Werder (25.09.-26.09.18). Reigning champions Bayern Munich will then come to Berlin to round off September (28.09.-30.09.18).

Hinrunde concludes just prior to Christmas Eve

The last matchday of the Hinrunde will take place between 21st and 23rd December, with Hertha due to face Bayer 04 Leverkusen to conclude the first half of the season. Hertha’s last home game of the Hinrunde will take place between 18th and 19th December against FC Augsburg. The Rückrunde will begin on 18th January 2019, while the final game of the season will take place on 18th May 2019.
