Berlin – In professional football, friendlies will always be a part of successful preparation. They shine a light on what the team is doing well, and also what needs to be worked on. That’s exactly what Pál Dárdai and his coaching staff expect the first game of 2019 against Arminia Bielefeld on Wednesday to reveal.
“We need this game to help us get back into our rhythm,” explained Dárdai. The Hungarian continued with a grin: “The players should be itching to go over the next few days.” The game against the side from eastern Westphalia, who currently occupy 14th position in the second division, will be a perfect watermark for Hertha going into the Rückrunde.
