After a week and a half of successes in the land of the free, Hertha BSC’s #TearDownWallsTour drew to a close on Wednesday evening in Los Angeles. The Blue-Whites hosted a closing event with 100 invited guests from the German Football League (DFL), including Jürgen Klinsmann. The squad enjoyed a final dinner together in high spirits ahead of the return journey to Berlin. Paul Keuter, member of the Hertha BSC executive board, was very satisfied with how the tour played out. “This tour was a huge success for Hertha BSC. We have made new friends in Minneapolis, Madison, Chicago and Los Angeles and have shown the United States who we are.” On Thursday morning local time (Pacific time zone), the Blue-Whites will fly back to the German capital with expected arrival on Friday at around midday German time. The players not representing their respective national countries will then enjoy a richly deserved holiday before reconviening for new head coach Ante Covic’s first training session in charge on 1st July.
