The narrow 2-1 defeat to Freiburg can only be described as unlucky after a well-deserved equaliser was cancelled out by an unfortunate error. “We made life difficult for ourselves. It’s a shame after all our hard work, but it happens and it’s a part of football. We win together and we lose together,” said Vedad Ibisevic. We collected all the post-match reaction.
Vladimir Darida: Unfortunately I made a mistake, and I’m sorry for that. I got the ball from Rune and it was a poor first touch and then I just lost it. It could be that it was a foul in the build up to Dodi’s disallowed goal, it was difficult to say. It looked like Jonathan Schmid got their first, but even after that we played well and deserved to get the 2-2 draw. It was a special game for me because I used to play for Freiburg and I’m always happy when I come back here. The wind is not out of our sails just yet. We have two difficult opponents ahead of us but we have todo the best we can to beat them.
Vedad Ibisevic: We were unlucky to lose here, it was a game decided by he little things. We knew it wouldn’t be easy to come here, but we prepared well and we played some decent stuff, especially in the second half. But individual errors cost us here and we made life difficult for ourselves. It’s a shame after all our hard work, but it happens and it’s a part of football. We win together and we lose together!
