Whilst head coach Pál Dárdai’s team have been putting in some hard hours as they seek to lay the foundations for the 2018/10 season, their work between 4th to 11th August in the Austrian town of Schladming will be about fine-tuning the extra details. There, Hertha will partake in three friendlies in a very international week of football, first against FC Liefering on 6th August at 17:00 CET.
Teams from Saudi-Arabia and Greece
Hertha will face Al Shabab Riad from the top flight of football in Saudi Arabia two days afterwards (08/08/18, 18:00 CET), before they finish the week with a fixture against Greek second-division side Aiginiakos FC (10/08/10, 18:00 CET).
The club from the capital have won five of their six pre-season friendlies so far, only falling short against Serie A outfit Atlanta Bergamo in a 3-2 defeat. Hertha have already experienced facing international opposition at their base in Schladming, beating Galatasaray 2-1 and Neftchi Baku 4-0 last year.
