Dear Herthaner! Once again, it’s been a crazy year with plenty of ups and downs for this club. The first half of the current Bundesliga season was an emotional rollercoaster. But the 'Alte Dame' also provided some highlights over the course of the first half of this season. A few examples spring to mind: the draw on matchday 1 against FC Bayern Munich, or the last-gasp DFB-Pokal victory over Dynamo Dresden at home which put us in to the third round for the second consecutive year. Jürgen Klinsmann, one of the biggest German sports personalities, took over as head coach at the end of November and led the team to 12th place at the end of the Hinrunde. The Hertha BSC football academy achieved historical goals on May 30th, when within just a few hours the U12s, U15s, U17s and U19s celebrated victory in the Berlin Cup. With the 'quadruple' on Ascension Day, the young Herthaner achieved a feat that the blue and whites had only been able to complete once before (2000/01 season).
Hertha BSC, the team, the coaching staff, the officials and all employees at the club wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2020! We are already looking forward to tackling the new challenges together with you. Thank you for your great support!
