Marius Wolf joins Hertha BSC!

Hertha BSC have signed Marius Wolf on loan from Dortmund on the final day of the summer transfer window.

Hertha BSC delved in to the transfer market on deadline day and strengthened the team by signing Marius Wolf on a season-long loan from Borussia Dortmund. The deal includes an option to buy at the end of the season. “We have always made it clear that we wanted to be active in this transfer window, should the opportunity to sign a quality player present itself. In Marius Wolf we have acquired a player that will only make us better with his dynamic and versatile playing style, as well as his great mentality,” said Michael Preetz. The 24-year-old is full of optimism ahead of his new challenge. "It’s about getting to know the team quickly in the next few days and really getting a feel for the place. I want to help that team as quickly as I can,” said the Coburg native, who will wear the number 30.He made his Bundesliga debut for Eintracht Frankfurt against Bayer Leverkusen. Having started out on loan from January 2017, he made his deal permanent twelve months later. He wore the Frankfurt jersey a total of 38 times (six goals, eleven assists). In May 2018, he won the DFB-Pokal at the Olympiastadion along with ex-Herthaner Kevin-Prince Boateng before finally making the move to Borussia Dortmund. He made 23 appearances for last year’s runners up, including four in the UEFA Champions League, scoring one goal.
