Berlin – Hertha BSC have agreed to sell Valentino Lazaro. The right winger has left the ‘Old Lady’ after two seasons to sign for Inter Milan. “We would like to thank Valentino for his efforts at Hertha and would like to wish him all the best for his future,” commented sporting director Michael Preetz on Monday (1/7/19).
The Austrian international moved to Hertha on loan from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2017, before the club from the capital activated the clause to sign him on a permanent deal in November 2017 after some impressive performances. The Graz-born man soon became an important figure in Hertha’s team, appearing in 57 out of the 68 Bundesliga games in his time at the club. He scored five goals and made 12 for his teammates. He also appeared four times in both the DFB-Pokal and the UEFA Europa League, adding another assist in Europe.
