It's early days in the new year, but the Bundesliga is back in full flow. After the first matchday of 2021 was played on the 2nd and 3rd January, there are five more rounds of fixtures to be played before the end of the month. The last of these, plus the four matchdays in February have now been given exact dates and times by the DFL. On Saturday, 30th January 2021 at 15:30 CET, Hertha will travel to Eintracht Frankfurt for the first away game of the official ‘Rückrunde’ (second half of the season). One week later, the Old Lady will take on FC Bayern under the Olympiastadion floodlights on Friday night (5th February, 20:30 CET). On 13th February, another Saturday away game is on the agenda with a trip to VfB Stuttgart (15:30 CET kick-off). Eight days later, on Sunday the 21st February, Hertha welcome RB Leipzig to the capital for another 15:30 CET kick-off, before travelling to Wolfsburg the following Saturday for the last game of the month (27th February, 15:30 CET).
Friday night date with the champions
On Thursday, 7 January, the DFL published the exact schedule for Matchdays 19 to 23. Hertha will entertain FC Bayern under the floodlights on a Friday night. Three of the remaining games in question will be on Saturdays with one taking place on a Sunday.
