The new design for Hertha’s home and away jerseys combines the capital city club’s 128-year history with the modern and vibrant lifestyle in Berlin today.
The new home jersey, with its traditional blue and white stripes, will be complemented with an additional black stripe. Inspired by the outline of the Hertha crest, the black stripe makes the new jersey a gesture of faith in the ‘Fahne Pur’ (Flag Crazy) concept, which shaped the club’s current logo. The white back and white collar round off the classic design. Naturally, an embroidered Hertha logo and black Nike swoosh provide the finishing touches. Just as in this past season, the Hyundai logo will be affixed to the left sleeve. The printing on the back of the shirt will be black, with name and number accompanied by the club name “Hertha BSC” along the bottom. White shorts and white socks complete the full home kit.
Away from home, Hertha players will don a modern take on splash art patterns with a wild, powerful, momentous blue and black design. The away jersey has been designed to reflect the diversity, openness, and vigour of Berlin. The embroidered Hertha logo on the front of the away jersey will alongside a white Nike swoosh. As with the home jersey, club partner Hyundai’s logo will be on the left sleeve. The black and blue rear side of the jersey will display white name and number printing, with the word ‘Berlin’ written beneath it. Hertha BSC’s full away kit will include black shorts and socks.
More than football
"Not just in sport, but also within our society, it is important to stand up for your values. For Hertha BSC, progress and diversity are the fundamental values which we, as a club, live by. We, along with our fans and the entire Hertha family, want to bring even more people from outside the world of football together and invite them to take on social responsibility," said Paul Keuter, executive board member and responsible for the communications, branding, digital transformation and CSR departments. "Our new jerseys have been designed to symbolise this. Anyone who wears the Hertha jersey will be saying: I am part of Hertha BSC – and Hertha BSC is more than football!"
Nike Dri-FIT technology
The tried-and-tested Dri-FIT technology keeps you dry and comfortable by taking the sweat off your body to the outside of the shirt and shorts, where it can evaporate quickly. Laser-cut openings and mesh inserts in key areas of the jersey improve air circulation and regulate temperatures. The jersey is made from a specially developed material that flows into a mesh material from under the chest, making it more breathable and facilitating movement. The breathable fabric ensures exceptional air circulation and the ergonomic seams improve mobility. By using recycled polyester, Nike have put sustainable innovation at the heart of their production process. The jersey offers unrivalled performance efficiency with minimal environmental impact.
