Daishawn Redan has been wearing the Hertha jersey since the summer of 2019 after joining from Chelsea FC and has so far made just one appearance for the first team. The Netherlands U21 striker has made eight appearances for the U23 side in the Regionalliga Ost, scoring four goals. However, the 18-year-old will now leave the capital club and join FC Groningen in order to gain more first team experience at a high level. "Daishawn has immense potential and we trust that he’ll make plenty more appearances in a Hertha shirt in the future. His situation is similar to that of Dennis Jastrzembski, he’s a young guy that just needs more experience at a good level. At the moment it’s going to be difficult to get that here, so we decided a loan was the best option for them,” said Sporting Director Michael Preetz on Friday (31/01/20) on loaning out the youngsters.
