First home game falls on a Sunday

DFL have released the exact fixture schedule for matchdays 1-6 of the Bundesliga. On the 25th August, Hertha will entertain VfL Wolfsburg at the Olympiastadion.

The fixture list for the 2019/20 Bundesliga season was released at the end of June, and the exact dates and times for the first six matchdays have now followed. After the season opener in Munich on August 16 (20:30 CEST), two of the following five games will be on a Sunday evening, with the remaining three falling on a Saturday afternoon. After the first home game, Hertha will be on the road for two consecutive weeks, first in Gelsenkirchen, then in Mainz, both times for a 15:30 Saturday kick-off. On Matchday 5, Ante Covic’s men return to the Olympiastadion to welcome newly-promoted Paderborn for another 15:30 Saturday afternoon kick-off. The last of the fully scheduled matchdays sees Hertha travel to Cologne to face another of the three promoted sides on Sunday 29 September (18:00 CEST). The following matchdays are expected to be scheduled by DFL at the beginning of September.
