The 2018/19 Bundesliga season is approaching its climax. Following Saturday’s trip to face FC Augsburg (15:30 CEST), Hertha will conclude the season with a home clash against Bayer Leverkusen (Saturday, 18th May, 15:30 CEST). Shortly afterwards, the Blue-Whites will travel to the United States for an end of season tour before the fully deserved summer break.
The club have now announced their schedule for the 2019/20 pre-season. The squad will reunite at the Schenckendorffplatz training pitches in Berlin on 1st July 2019 to begin preparations for next season. The club from the capital will once again travel to Neuruppin in Brandenburg, as they did last summer, for their first training camp. Hertha will then return to Schenckendorffplatz for some more training sessions before travelling to Karlsruhe to participate in a celebratory tournament to mark Karlsruher SC’s 125th anniversary on 13th July 2019 (14:00 CEST). The Old Lady will also face two 2. Bundesliga teams away from home in friendlies to prepare for next season. Firstly, Hertha will face FC Erzgebirge Aue on 17th July 2019 (18:00 CEST) and before then playing VfL Bochum three days later (20th July, 18:00 CEST).
Second training camp in Stegersbach
From 24th July to 1st August 2019, Hertha will train in Stegersbach in south-eastern Austria in their second training camp of the summer. The club are currently planning friendlies during their time in Stegersbach. To conclude pre-season preparations, Hertha will travel to London following the conclusion of the Stegersbach training camp. The Blue-Whites will face Crystal Palace in a friendly at Selhurst Park on 3rd August 2019 (15:00 CEST). Just a week later, Hertha will return to competitive action in the DFB-Pokal on the weekend of 9th-12th August 2019. The 57th Bundesliga kicks off seven days later on 16th August 2019.
