Berlin – TEDi and Hertha BSC have agreed to an early termination of their main sponsorship agreement, which was originally set to run out in 2021. TEDi was initially the club’s sleeve sponsor in the 2017/18 season, before becoming Hertha BSC’s main shirt sponsor the year after, in accordance with the retailer expanding its partnership with the club. Despite no longer being the main sponsor, TEDi will continue to work with Hertha BSC and will maintain advertising opportunities.
Silvan Wohlfarth, CEO of TEDi: “TEDi and Hertha BSC have worked together for three sensational years, both on and off the pitch. TEDi has benifitted greatly from the resulting strong media presence. In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, we want to reorganise our priorities and focus on our employees and our operational business. We would like to thank everyone involved for the good cooperation we’ve enjoyed over the past years. TEDi will remain an active part of the Hertha family and will continue this successful cooperation in a different form.”
Ingo Schiller, finance director at Hertha BSC: “We would like to thank everyone involved at TEDi for their cooperation over the last three years. Our partnership, as both a sleeve and then main shirt sponsor, was mutually beneficial and was exemplified by an open and constructive cooperation. We are pleased that TEDi will remain one of our advertisers and wish the company and its employees all the best for a successful future.”
