Berlin derby set for a Saturday night

On Monday, the DFL announced the exact timings for matchdays 7 through 13. The derby against 1. FC Union Berlin will take place on 2nd November at 18:30 CEST.

The late autumn looks to have some real highlights in store for the Herthaner after the exact kick-off times for matches 7 to 13 were confirmed on Wednesday. At the forefront of these highlights will be the eagerly anticipated derby on matchday 11 at 1. FC Union Berlin on Saturday 2nd November at 18:30 CEST.

Here are the matches in order: On matchday 7, the ‘Alte Dame’ will play host to Fortuna Düsseldorf under the floodlights of the Olympic Stadium on Friday evening (04/10/19) at 20:30 CEST. After the international break a week later, Ante Čović’s team will then be playing at the wohninvest WESERSTADION on matchday 8, with the game kicking off in Bremen on Saturday afternoon (19/10/19) at 15:30 CEST. The competition heats up even more the week after, when the Herthaner play 1899 Hoffenheim (26/10/19, 15:30 CEST). After the derby the following week, the citizens of Berlin will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall on matchday 11 when they face RB Leipzig (09/11/19, 15:30 CEST). Then, once the third and final international break of the Hinrunde is over, the team from the Spree go to FC Augsburg on a Sunday afternoon (24/11/19, 15:30 CEST). Matchday 13 offers up yet another footballing spectacle, one which will see the Herthaner, and captain Vedad Ibišević, welcome Borussia Dortmund to the capital on Saturday 30th November at 15:30 CEST.
